How We Investigate Money Pressure

The editorial method behind They Keep You Broke videos, guides, calculations, source links, caveats, and corrections.

We begin with the document or decision a person actually sees, then work backward to the company, rule, incentive, data flow, and math underneath it.

1. Name the visible offer

We capture the payment, score, fee, contract term, notice, deduction, or promise exactly as presented.

2. Find the mechanism

We separate the parties and ask who approves, sells, services, reports, collects, owns, or profits. We distinguish a broad system from what one specific contract proves.

3. Rebuild the receipt

We look for totals, timelines, rates, mandatory fees, tradeoffs, and exit conditions. Examples are labeled as examples. Current deadlines and eligibility rules are sent back to official sources.

4. Give a usable next move

Every guide should leave the reader with documents to find, questions to ask, and language that slows the pressure down. We do not promise outcomes or replace professional advice.

5. Correct the record

When a material statement is wrong or becomes outdated, we correct it and explain the meaningful change.
